At the age of 13 Kristen Arnett already knew she wanted to be a makeup artist and with an eye towards the cosmetics industry, she earned her bachelors in Business and studied photography. Arnett then worked in cosmetics product development, and some time later she shifted gears to become a free lance makeup artist. In 2006 Arnett was the Education Director for the International Makeup Artist Trade Show where she was responsible for the creation, organization and execution of 34 educational workshops featuring top industry makeup artists including Dany Sanz, Gregory Arlt, Joanna Schilp, and Joanne Gair. Additionally, she wrote the feature story covering the event for Makeup Artist Magazine.
In 2007 Arnett relocated to Milan, Italy to expand and hone her skills in the fashion industry. After two years abroad, she is now based in New York. Arnett has written articles for magazines, appeared on TV numerous times as a beauty expert, acted as an educator for cosmetics brands, and teaches proprietary workshops for makeup artists.
